Fun in the snow and sun

Logan, Sawyer, and I are totally sick of being indoors this winter! I have ran out of things to keep the boys busy during the day, so we decided to head outdoors and play in the backyard. What a nice day it was to play in the snow and enjoy some sun. They had fun sledding down our hill and running around chasing each other. We also played frisbee, kickball, and football, and even had lunch outside. I was even able to get Jake off the couch and come outside with us! Whew- we were all worn out when we were done, but we all enjoyed the fresh air! It makes me look forward to spring even more-which can't come fast enough!

Bowling!

We decided to take the boys bowling last week for the first time. Even though he has never been, Logan felt like he already knew how to bowl since he plays on Wii all the time and is considered "pro status". Sad to say, he actually did better than me! Sawyer was even able to participate because they have a ramp you can place the ball on and side rails, so he would just push the ball down the ramp-he even got a strike! We all had a fun time and it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon in the winter!

December 2008

I can't believe the holidays are over, let alone 2008! It's bittersweet putting all of the Christmas decorations away for another year. Logan kept asking me today that if Christmas was over, than is it summer now- I wish! I'm looking forward to a new year and all the memories it will bring for us!

Happy New Year!!!

We celebrated the end of 2008 by hosting a party with our family. It always surprises me when we have a new year's celebration, how fast midnight comes. My brothers and their girlfriends both came for a while, and my dad and stepmom were here along with the Vincent family. The boys all played surprisingly well together, and they seemed to have more energy at the end of the night than all the adults had. Little Kensley almost made it to midnight, falling asleep at about 11:58. I can hardly believe that 2008 is over and that we are entering 2009! So far the best part of the year has been putting all of my Christmas decorations away today and cleaning the house, now I just need to come up with a few new year's resolutions....
